Donatelli's ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit donatellis.com (the "site"), how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers this website only. It does not cover our restaurants in White Bear Lake and Bloomington, or the outside services we link to for ordering, gift cards, rewards, and delivery.
Information We Collect
Information you give us. We only collect personal information that you choose to send us through the forms on this site:
- Catering inquiries: your name, email address, phone number, preferred location, event type, guest count, event date, pickup or delivery preference and time, and any details you share about your event.
- Job applications: your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, the positions and schedule you're interested in, your availability, your work history (such as your most recent employer, job title, dates, pay, and reason for leaving), a reference's name and contact details, and anything else you choose to include.
- Emails you send us: if you email info@donatellis.com or another Donatelli's address, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message.
If you give us information about someone else, such as a reference, please make sure they're comfortable with us contacting them.
Information collected automatically. Our hosting provider automatically receives standard technical information when your device requests a page, such as your IP address, browser type, and the page requested. We use it to deliver, secure, and troubleshoot the site. If analytics are turned on (see Cookies and Analytics below), we also collect information about how you use the site.
How We Use Your Information
- To respond to your questions and catering inquiries, and to plan your order or event.
- To review job applications, contact applicants, and check references.
- To understand site traffic and improve the site.
- To keep the site secure and working properly.
- To comply with legal obligations and protect our rights, guests, and staff.
Form submissions are delivered to our team by email. We don't store them in a separate database on the site, and we don't use them to send you marketing emails.
How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information, and we don't share it with third parties for their own advertising. We share information only:
- With service providers who help us run the site, including our website host, the email service that delivers form submissions, and our analytics provider. They may use the information only to provide their services to us.
- When required by law, or to protect our rights, guests, staff, or the public.
- With a successor business if Donatelli's is sold, merged, or reorganized.
Services we link to. The site links to services run by other companies. These include Toast for online ordering, e-gift cards, gift card balances, and Donatelli's Rewards; DoorDash for delivery; Google Maps for directions; and Instagram and Facebook. Information you give those services is collected by them and governed by their own privacy policies, not this one.
Cookies and Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use the site. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect information such as the pages you visit, how long you stay, the website that referred you, your browser and device type, and your approximate location based on your IP address. We use this information in aggregate and don't use it to identify you.
Your choices. When you first visit, a banner lets you accept or decline analytics. If you're visiting from the European Union, the European Economic Area, Switzerland, or the United Kingdom, Google Analytics stays off unless you accept. Elsewhere, analytics may run unless you decline. We save your choice in a small cookie so we don't ask again on every visit.
To change your choice, clear this site's cookies in your browser and the banner will appear again on your next visit. You can also block cookies in your browser settings or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Our site doesn't currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals, but the options above let you turn analytics off.
Data Retention and Security
We keep catering inquiries and job applications only as long as we need them to respond to you, to consider you for a position, or to meet legal and recordkeeping requirements. We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, but no method of sending or storing data online is completely secure.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, and to have it corrected or deleted. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We'll respond within the time required by applicable law and won't treat you differently for making a request.
Children's Privacy
The site isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be posted on this page before they take effect.
